Your needs will be completely catered to throughout your treatment. Every step is taken to ensure that you are comfortable and relaxed during your appointment(s). Once he has completed your smile makeover, Dr. Hernandez will give you instructions for caring for your rejuvenated smile and enhancing the longevity of your results. These instructions include returning to our office for regular examinations and cleanings.

Your smile makeover may include one or more of the following cosmetic dentistry treatments:

Teeth whitening: Special bleaching agents are applied to the teeth to lift stains and correct discoloration stemming from wine or coffee consumption, use of certain medications (e.g., tetracycline) or the natural aging process. Teeth whitening is typically an in-office professional treatment that takes approximately one hour. Some patients opt to continue treatment with at-home whitening kits. The teeth look uniformly whiter and brighter after treatment.

Porcelain veneers: Small, tooth-colored pieces of porcelain are slipped over the surface of the teeth and bonded into place. This can correct worn tooth enamel, improve the shape or length of uneven teeth, mask discoloration and conceal small chips or cracks. Veneers can also be used to hide small spaces between the teeth. Porcelain veneers require little-to-no removal of tooth structure and are custom-made to the patient’s specifications. When well cared for, veneers can last for many years.

Dental bonding: A tooth-colored composite material is applied to the surface of the teeth and sculpted to the desired shape. This can repair superficial chips or cracks, close small spaces between the teeth or bolster worn-down teeth. The composite material is color-matched to the surrounding teeth for a seamless result.

Dental implants: A titanium post is placed in the jawbone and supports a crown to replace a missing tooth. Implants are the most stable and long-lasting way to replace one or more missing teeth. Not only do implants restore the normal appearance of a tooth, they also are integral to maintaining oral health and facial esthetics. Implants can replace a single tooth, multiple teeth or all of the teeth in the lower and/or upper jaw.

Gum recontouring: Prominent gums can be reduced and reshaped to reveal more of the teeth. Gum recontouring is typically performed with a laser for comfortable and precise treatment.
