What’s the Difference Between Clear Correct vs Invisalign?

In need of teeth alignment and traditional wire braces aren’t your thing? You should try clear aligners.

These guys perform the same job of traditional braces. They’re able to readjust the positioning of your teeth for a better smile. Also, they’re removable.

But, as their name suggests, they’re quite unnoticeable. In fact, they’re often referred to as “invisible braces”.

There are two options that are quite popular: Clear Correct vs Invisalign. When visiting a dentist, you’ll probably choose between one of these two options.

So, you should be as informed as possible before making a decision. Read on to learn the difference between Clear Correct vs Invisalign.

What Is Invisalign?

We’ll start by giving you a rundown of the two companies and their products. Invisalign was founded in 1999 by a group of global medical device experts, Aligned Technology.

Invisalign is made from a 3D imaging technology, the iTero Intraoral scanner. It’s used to treat a variety of teeth related issues.

These invisible aligners can assist with an overbite, which is when your top teeth protrude over the bottom. It also helps with underbite, when your bottom teeth hang in front of the top.

Invisalign is commonly used to correct the spacing of teeth as well. It can fix overcrowded or widely ranged teeth.

What’s great about these aligners is they’re comfortable and customized to your mouth. Invisalign is typically used for a year or a little less.

What Is Clear Correct?

Having been established in 2006, Clear Correct is quite a bit newer. This makes it not as widespread as Invisalign.

Clear Correct is made from Zendura which is a rigid material designed to protect against stress. Essentially, that means, if you’re a biter, it’ll protect you from snapping the aligner.

There isn’t much of a variety in costs between the two companies. Both range from $2,000-$10,000, which is dependant on your specific needs and dental provider.

But, Clear Correct doesn’t usually have a set “end date”. Patients tend to wear these aligners much longer than their counterpart.

Clear Correct vs Invisalign: The Difference

As a dental practice, the biggest difference for us is the overall quality. For one, we find Invisalign material to be much more efficient in treating patients.

Secondly, with Invisalign, you’re working with a trusted brand. They have nearly two decades of experience, which is huge in this industry.

They’re the first providers of clear aligners. Many companies have emerged to try their hand at making invisible braces. But, only Invisalign has remained prominent.
